James Padbury, M.D.
Professor of Pediatrics
Professor Padbury is interested in the developmental regulation of genes involved in the growth and function of the developing heart and placenta. Current work includes studying the developmental expression and regulation of placental biogenic amine transporters, investigating the unique role of the placenta in immune protection of the fetus, and examining whether the developmentally regulated control of cardiac cell division is recapitulated during cardiac regeneration.
